Processing The Trauma of Hospitalisation

No events at the moment

This workshop is a dedicated space for people who have experienced hospitalisation and carry the emotional impact of that experience. For many, hospital stays can involve fear, loss of control, medical trauma, dismissal, isolation, or moments that linger long after discharge.

This is not a lecture or educational seminar — it is a facilitated group conversation held in a chat-style format.

The focus is on sharing, listening, and connecting with others who understand the complexity of what hospitalisation can bring.

Together, we will:

Speak openly about the trauma and emotional aftermath of hospital experiences

Validate the impact of medical environments that may have felt unsafe or overwhelming
Connect over shared themes such as vulnerability, advocacy, and recovery

Hold space for one another without judgment, comparison, or pressure to “move on”

You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels safe. This space centres lived experience, mutual understanding, and gentle solidarity.
You are not alone in what you felt — and you deserve a space where that truth can be spoken.

With your ticket to this event, you get access to a groupchat where you can  connect with others!

At DAYBYDAY, we understand how quickly circumstances can change and how unpredictable life can be when living with a chronic illness and/or disability.

If you need to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund if you email daybydaycancellations@gmail.com  24 hours before the event begins!
