Week Three: Cine-ability (With Lucy)
We’ll discuss a film about disability this week. The film may include themes about disability or a character with disabilities or an actor with a disability. If the film is linked to disability and chronic illness we’ll talk about it. This week is for people who want to see more representation of disability on their screens.
FilmByFilm isn’t about watching art house cinema or films you’re “supposed” to have seen. I’ve never seen Titanic. It’s about watching art in your home (or cinema) and seeing what you get from it. Does it speak to you? Did someone see it a different way? Why did they choose to do that? What does the colour purple mean? See where the film takes us.
You’ll have a month to watch the films and I’ll be making sure you have access to the film so you don’t have to…
